How to: Configure middle button on Logitech mouse to double-click in Windows 95.
Solution:
Install and select the Logitech mouse driver as the default in Windows 95. Edit the 'DoubleClick' value in the 'Registry Editor'.
1) Install and select the Logitech mouse driver within Windows 95:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
c) Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. (The 'Mouse Properties' dialog box appears.)
d) Click the 'General' tab and click 'Change...'. (The 'Select device' dialog box appears.)
e) Select the 'Show all devices' radio button.
f) Select 'Logitech' from the 'Manufacturers' list box and select the appropriate mouse from the 'Models' list box.
g) Click 'OK' to close the 'Select device' dialog box.
h) Click 'OK' to close the 'Mouse Properties' dialog box. (The 'Change System Settings' dialog box appears.)
i) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer and for the changes to take effect.
2) Use the 'Registry Editor' to change the 'DoubleClick' value:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Run...'. (The 'Run' dialog box appears.)
c) Type the following in the 'Open' drop-down list box and click 'OK':
REGEDIT
d) Double-click on 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE'.
e) Double-click on 'SOFTWARE'.
f) Double-click on 'Logitech'.
g) Double-click on 'MouseWare'.
h) Double-click on 'CurrentVersion'.
i) Double-click on your particular Logitech mouse type.
j) Click the '000' folder.
k) In the right-hand pane of the 'Registry Editor' window, double-click on 'DoubleClick'. (The 'Edit String' dialog box appears.)
l) Type the following in the 'Value data' box and click 'OK':

m) Select the 'Registry' menu and select 'Exit' to exit 'Registry Editor'.
n) Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
